Last updated: April 2026. These terms govern all bookings made with Classic Cabs Ltd, Jersey.
1.1 Classic Cabs Ltd ("Classic Cabs", "we", "us", "our") is a licensed private hire company operating under a Taxi Licence and a Limousine Licence issued by the Government of Jersey. We operate from St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands.

2.1 A booking is only confirmed once you have received an explicit confirmation from Classic Cabs via WhatsApp, phone, or email.
2.2 Bookings made via WhatsApp are handled by our AI booking assistant (TaxiBot). A booking is not confirmed until TaxiBot or a member of our team sends a confirmation message.
2.3 We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
2.4 It is the passenger's responsibility to provide accurate pickup location, destination, date, time, and passenger count. Classic Cabs is not liable for failed pickups resulting from incorrect information.
3.1 Cancellations made more than 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time — no charge.
3.2 Cancellations made between 1 and 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time — 50% of the agreed fare is charged.
3.3 Cancellations made less than 1 hour before the scheduled pickup time — 100% of the agreed fare is charged.
3.4 For airport transfers, the cancellation window begins from the scheduled pickup time, not the flight time.
3.5 To cancel, contact us via WhatsApp on +44 7700 355199 or call 01534 888 505. Cancellation is only confirmed once acknowledged by Classic Cabs.
4.1 If a passenger fails to appear at the agreed pickup location within the waiting period (see clause 5), the booking will be treated as a no-show and the full fare will be charged.
4.2 Classic Cabs will make reasonable attempts to contact the passenger by phone and WhatsApp before marking a booking as a no-show.
5.1 Standard bookings — drivers will wait up to 10 minutes beyond the scheduled pickup time at no additional charge.
5.2 Airport transfers (arrivals) — waiting time is calculated from when the flight lands, not the scheduled arrival time. Drivers will wait up to 45 minutes after landing at no additional charge, to allow for baggage collection and customs.
5.3 Beyond these periods, additional waiting charges may apply at our standard rate.
6.1 Taxi service fares are calculated in accordance with the official taxi tariffs set and regulated by the Driver and Vehicle Standards (DVS) department of the Government of Jersey. These tariffs are agreed with local authorities and are not set by Classic Cabs. 6.2 Classic Exclusive (limousine service) fares are hourly-rate based, agreed with the customer at the time of booking. The hourly rate includes a full chauffeur-style experience as standard: your driver will be dressed in a suit, bottled water and refreshments will be provided in the vehicle, and meet & greet service is included. Any additional amenities or requests should be discussed at the time of booking.
6.3 All fares are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP).
6.4 Accepted payment methods: cash, credit/debit card, or corporate invoice (account holders only).
6.5 Corporate account holders are invoiced monthly. Payment terms are 14 days from invoice date unless agreed otherwise.
6.6 Classic Cabs reserves the right to charge for any damage caused to the vehicle by a passenger, including but not limited to soiling, breakage, or excessive mess. A minimum charge of £100 applies.
7.1 Classic Cabs monitors incoming flights to Jersey Airport (JER) using live flight data. In the event of a delay, your pickup time will be adjusted automatically — you do not need to notify us.
7.2 If a flight is diverted or cancelled, please contact us as soon as possible via WhatsApp. Standard cancellation terms apply if Classic Cabs has already dispatched a driver.
7.3 Meet & greet service is provided in the arrivals hall. The driver will hold a name board with the lead passenger's name.
7.4 Classic Cabs is not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control including but not limited to air traffic control, weather, or airport security.
8.1 Passengers are expected to behave respectfully toward drivers at all times. Classic Cabs reserves the right to refuse or terminate a journey if a passenger is behaving in a threatening, abusive, or unsafe manner. The full fare remains payable.
8.2 The consumption of alcohol is not permitted in Classic Cabs vehicles unless prior arrangement has been made.
8.3 All passengers must wear a seatbelt where one is fitted, in accordance with Jersey road law.
8.4 A maximum passenger count applies to each vehicle class. Passengers exceeding the stated capacity will not be permitted to travel.
9.1 Classic Cabs carries full public liability insurance as required by the Government of Jersey licensing conditions.
9.2 Classic Cabs is not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including traffic, road conditions, weather, or third-party delays.
9.3 Passengers travel with their luggage at their own risk. Classic Cabs is not liable for loss or damage to luggage unless caused directly by driver negligence.
9.4 Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
10.1 Any property left in a Classic Cabs vehicle will be held securely for 30 days. To report lost property, contact us via WhatsApp or email hello@classic-cabs.co.
10.2 Classic Cabs may charge a reasonable fee for the return of lost property.
11.1 Classic Cabs processes personal data in accordance with the Jersey Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018. Please refer to our Privacy Policy at classic-cabs.co/privacy for full details.
12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands.
12.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Jersey courts.
13.1 Classic Cabs reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The current version is always available at classic-cabs.co/terms. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
